About the godrays
Added 2023-07-05 08:32:33 +0000 UTCEvery time a decision is made based on personal aesthetic tastes, there's the obvious danger of alienating a section of the user base. This was the motivating factor behind the color presets, and it's a massive factor in the godrays tweak as well. I'm very happy with the baseline look and feel of the god rays, but a lot of people seem to enjoy a stronger experience. Though maybe you'd like to have a different experience each day. This is now possible thanks to a simple on/off toggle for the increased ray intensity. Beyond simply increasing the brightness, increased godray intensity provides a feeling of volumetric illumination, which is a fun visual element to play with in photography as well.

Oh, additionally, the filter should for the time being work with pure 0.180a as well, let me know if that's not the case
update: i attached an updated version with reduced bloom. some cars had overdone bloom at night following the ae changes, this should level that out.

Thank you. it's a tricky thing to balance, and experiencing it firsthand is also very different to seeing videos of it. But that's why i included it as an option, so everyone can test and see whether or not they like it.
