Now that I'm starting to find my feet with Patreon, I think I could do with a little market research.

I'm going to preface this by just being clear about how much time it takes to produce a complete piece of work, just so people understand what I can (and can't) achieve each month.

It normally takes between two and four hours to completely pose a single scene, ready to render. Obviously it depends on the complexity of the scene and whether I'm using pre-existing characters, dforce, in-render effects etc. Actually rendering the scene isn't hard work per-se; it just means I can't do anything else. I tend to leave a scene cooking during the evening if I'm doing other things, or overnight if it's going to be a long one. A bright, simple scene can take less than an hour; a dark, complex one might not be finished next morning. Post-work generally adds between 30-60 min on top of that. So- for a simple scene with three or four figures, you're looking at maybe 4 hours of work spread over a few days, since I rarely get multiple uninterrupted hours to myself. The big, complex scenes I like to make can take over a month.

At the moment, I'm putting most of my energy into getting the photo-stories ready for publication, but I wonder if everyone else is as excited about them as I am. I also wonder if people wouldn't rather just see more battle-scenes in a month, not necessarily linked together by a narrative.

It would be really good to see what people value most, and whether I'm better off focusing my time on another area. I'd love to see people's comments and feedback.

The Poll's up until the New Year, so please vote and comment below!

While the Elves vs goblins is great, I do hope eventually to see more Elves vs Amazons/humans or Amazons vs Amazons. And definitely the Angels as well as the Handmaidens (both the white rank-and-file girls and the red-clothed queen's guard). The Scuba girls you've done were also quite fun.

Sorry for the late response, but yes, do make one, I mean something along the line like the paladins you made before..A similar stuff

Love all of your work, Bodak. The detail, especially the background detail, is incredible and so well thought through. Angel Corps was the first story I saw of yours and it remains a classic, I think. The Cherry Blossom story is also a firm favourite of mine and the short story Colony F1-3A was also great, it was a shame there wasn't more - but you can only do so much can't you ...

Love *all* of your work, it really is just amazing the level of detail and emotion you capture. If I had to vote, though: 1. Angel Corps - Fetnoir Pirates, if that's possible? At one time, you had done a written series too, starring Billie and Nina; would it be possible to re-share that? 2. Elven or Amazon warriors Also, all of the Triptychs are just insanely well done! Thank you for outlining the amount of work that goes into each scene. It's helpful to know, but also to appreciate the artistry too.

I'd love to see the Angel Corps pics again. I had 'em, but all lost in a computer catastrophe.

Yes, definitely. Graphic story based on the Amazons vs Ghulam battles would be great. Maybe you could make the outfit uniform to simplify things. And more Paladins would be great too. I don't believe we have seen the last of them :)

I voted for the Triptychs, the Scuba Story and something else. I like to read about your thoughts and emerging ideas through the creation process of the scuba story from scratch on. I get valuable and exciting and interesting insights out of that. The Triptychs I particularly like because of the texts, tragical, detailed, poetic last moments of the doomed bonnie lassies. "something els" is for me the Handmaidens of Naboo. That´s my absolute favourite - also because of the narrative. Generally I like more story, more background and such than just one-off battle scenes. Like the Handmaidens or Thunderball or Paladins of Pellan.

I have to be honest, genre cross-over has never been my thing. If there's a lot of support on here for something like that then I'll give it a go.

bodak

Those two are the closest to completion right now, so you'll see plenty more of them.

bodak

I'm glad at least someone is reading those stories ;)

bodak

So I'd better hurry up and get the Wood Elves up then, right? ;)

bodak

Thanks!

I do like the idea of a pirates story, but I'd need to buy an entire new wardrobe and props library because I don't have very much for that era right now.

bodak

That's easily remedied. I'll put the links on here some time this week.

bodak

At the moment, I don't have any Amazon graphic stories- do you mean I should create some? It's really hard to get the variety of outfits that I want with DAZ clothes, which is why I've never really managed to make one before.

bodak

Paladin or Amazon (no, not text ones, definitely the graphic story ones). I'm all for the sword battle more than modern gun fights.

Terran

In principle it doesn't matter, because everything is great. My favourites are: Angel Corps Elven or Amazon Warriors Handmaiden My favourite series: Angel Corps vs Fetnoir Pirates (unfortunately I don't have all of them)

BLOI

I really liked the cowboys and the angels corps. Ninja and amazon cartoons: my weak point, even if you have to pay for them. Normal, you can really see the work. Maybe once a pirate-girls (long) story...

Gloubbibboulgah

I'm here for the Cowgirls, the Wood Elves, and the Samurais/Ninjas.

Beerman

You make great work, so all of them to be honest. :)

Andrew Akiyama

For me it's Scubs vs Marines, Amazon vs Ghulams (particularly the castle siege) and the Handmaidens Part 2.

PicardJean-Luc

I have voted for Cowgirls and Tryptich, because of time and fashion and style. Thank you for the poll.

Jerry Nek

More Angel Corps definitely 👍 .. and I’d strongly suggest even a crossover , like Angel Corps vs Ghulams .. or Padme’s girls vs Ghulams 👍
