Something borderline heretical...
Added 2025-05-31 00:00:57 +0000 UTCThis week, I've been mostly getting into the weeds of an on-off project I've had on the back-burner for a while now. It's a half-started story that I was half-tempted to dump in the Dungeon, but kept putting it off in case I ever decided to finish it. Now, something's clicked with it, and I've spent the week redesigning the characters, fleshing out the lore and coming up with a story.
In particular, I spent several hours fucking around with trans-maps to make a pair of armoured boots into greaves that come away from the knee when the leg bends. Honestly, it took longer to deal with that than it did to make anything else.
Also, I did far more research than is healthy into the mythology of Angels, and ended up deciding to create a battle involving seven Companies, each of seven Heptads, each of seven warriors. Yes, that is seven cubed.
