Okay, it’s been a while, but I finally have all of the results of my biopsy. I still have endometriosis, but I also have a cancer. One cancer provoked by my endo. One of the least aggressive I could have. Stage and grade I.
It’s still cancer, so I’ll probably start a preventive chemotherapy soon, but my life isn’t in danger at all. Actually, I’m already cured, no joke, but pathologist thinks sometimes it’s better to be sure than sorry. It all depends on what the oncologist says next week, but I know I’m in the best hands and my doctors are all super responsible and they’ve saved my life.
I’ve recovered very well from my surgery and now my biggest health worry is the absurd amount of anemia I’ve gotten with it, but I’m in treatment and I should see improvements on my next blood tests.
Despite of this drama, I’ve been very VERY lucky. And life gave me a powerful lesson: I should take my body pain and signals seriously.
