Annabelle felt the tension release and the bandage slide up. To the sighted girl, even the subdued lights in the room seemed like pillars of searing white light as her eyes tried to adjust to the light after a long forced period of darkness. Slowly, Annabel's vision returned, figures began to form in the girl's field of vision, and turning her head to the side, she saw for the first time since a recent date a blurry image of her smiling Master Edward.
