As I'm back from my stint making Kickstarter assets and taking a small mental break, I'm now making TWR again with a fire in my belly (it's ambition, not gastro-intestinal issues)!
I've pretty much got the writing and rough sketches done for Klara's arc. After that, the gang will FINALLY face a dragon, based on my first ever homebrew encounter (which I had to make because one of my players HAD to go after Iceclaws in Storm Kings Thunder, even though there was no lair or encounter in the module...).
It's been a while since we had a fun Patron poll so here's the next one:
What type of chromatic dragon should the gang face off against in the next story arc called: Dragon Heis-I mean Mugging!

Go blue! I've always loved the dragon type that can actually work together with others, both other dragon and other species. Lawful evil for the win.

2024-09-19 21:01:30 +0000 UTCI'm seeing.... a 2 headed dragon, the result of some magic user, something-something Tiamat worship & trying to create a vessel/avatar for her to inhabit blah blah blah. The heads can switch on & off for sleeping, so Head1 can run cult that Head2 knows nothing about. Or some other such shenanigans. Is one head's side hustle actively trying to thwart the other's pet project & neither know about it? You could drag this out & make all kinds of hilarious chaos!

Personally I think that going up against a blue, then managing to convince the blue that they’re the fun guys to know and that the king is the jerk he should go after would be hilarious.

2024-09-18 15:16:12 +0000 UTCShouldn't that read '... I'm NOW making TWR with.... ' instead of not? I would want the dragon to be intelligent (vs animalistic) so the dialogue can shine. Imagine all the sass back and forth.

2024-09-18 14:56:20 +0000 UTCMy group has had an encounter with both a green dragon and a black dragon. The black dragon was by far the more difficult fight for us. If you're going to up the stakes, go with black.
