Sketches, Experimental Painting, + Tutorial Poll Results! ππ«Άπ»β¨

I spent the weekend reading, drawing, and being busy working on new content for you guys! π«Άπ» Thereβs a lot of stuff so letβs catch up hehe ~
My current sketch Iβm working on is inspired by a cat reference! I thought it would be really fun and interesting to turn an animal into a character, and specifically a cat! π± Especially since cats have so much personality and their own unique aesthetic with their fur/eye coloring :) I got a lot of inspiration from Ramon on insta, and he has a ton of work where he turns animals into characters :) Hereβs an example of his art:
Iβm excited to start coloring the drawing now that the sketch is done! Iβm going to try matching her color palette to the cat as much as possible; pale pinkish skin, icy blue eyes, and fluffy white hair π€
The other thing I finished was my experimental painting!
This was soooo different for me! It started out as a warm-up sketch that I wasnβt really planning on coloring, but I decided to try doing a quick paint-over and here is the result :) I also used this drawing to test out several new painting brushes to see how I like them! Iβm not sure if Iβll share this piece on insta, so for now itβs only for you guys π
The other thing I worked on over the weekend was finishing up a new draw with me video for you guys, and now itβs up for you to enjoy! π₯°

Lastly, our poll for this monthβs tutorial video topic closed and now we have the result!! The option that won the vote wasβ¦ How to Create a Dynamic Character Sheet! βοΈβ¨ You guys know that I make a loooot of character sheets because theyβre one of my favorite things to draw, so Iβm super excited to get started on thus video for you guys!! π Iβll start planning it this week π
