Sketch WIP: drawing a scene with high contrast lighting π€π₯π§οΈ

Last night we got back from our trip, so Iβm finally back in my studio space! π It feels so nice to be resuming my usual routine and getting back to a normal schedule :) I missed my lil workspace π₯²
Today Iβm starting with a scene study from a kdrama called Strangers from Hell! Itβs a very high contrast lighting scenario and I LOVE the intense red tones and dark shadows (plus the rain βΊοΈ) and I wanted to show you my sketches so far :)
Iβm recording the full process of this drawing for a real-time video for you guys! π€ So youβll get to see the gesturing, line art, and of course the coloring and rendering π₯° Iβll start coloring it today and show you more sneak-peeks soon!
Whatβre you guys studying right now?? Right now I want to improve my lighting techniques so this is good practice for me:)
