Here is the full process video for my warmup sketch that won the vote this month! β¨ My main focus whenever I do a warmup sketch is to think about speed, simpler shapes, and basic lines to communicate form and movement. I donβt strive for perfection or deep rendering on these, so itβs a really relaxing process that gets my creative energy flowing for the day! π€ I hope you all enjoy!! π

2022-07-21 13:06:31 +0000 UTCSo happy you enjoyed it! π Generally a warmup sketch will take me around 2 hours - which is definitely a shorter amount of time for me personally! Iβve gotten faster at getting this kind of result through lots of repetition and finding a process I can replicate over and over. I basically follow the same set of steps each time: sketch layer, base color, multiply layer with shadows, light layer, highlight layer, detail layer, and then cleanup layer π everybodyβs process is different, but eventually you find a process that works for you to repeat and then doing it several times helps you get faster! π good luck Sara!! 2020-04-13 16:22:08 +0000 UTCI couldn't wait for the next video Lydia..My 2 minutes of peace <3 I really would like to be able to do the same, focusing on speed and simplicity..How long does a warm up sketch takes more or less? I could spend hours on one of them to achieve that results
