Early Look: Nova π¦πβ¨

Hereβs an early look at my newest drawing! π¦ Iβm calling it Nova because I was inspired by colors in space created by supernovas βΊοΈπ
I painted this piece to prepare and take mental notes for this monthβs upcoming tutorial video on how to shade with grayscale and add color! I shaded this entire drawing in grayscale first, then added my colors β¨ Before making tutorials for you guys I always try to practice a bit beforehand so that the subject is fresh in my memory and I know what to discuss! Tomorrow Iβm hoping to start writing my notes for the tutorial so that I can film by Friday, fingers crossed βΊοΈπ€πΌ
I hope you all are enjoying your week so far π My husband and I decided to get Minecraft for the Nintendo switch and so weβve been playing together in the evenings after work π weβre currently building a little house! π hehe have a great night everyone! βΊοΈ

2021-02-19 21:41:22 +0000 UTCYes! π When that happens, I usually click βCopy Canvasβ, then create a new layer, then click βPasteβ, and then everything is merged onto one layer without any issues βΊοΈ thatβs at least what I do! I hope that helps! β¨

After creating multiple layers I like to merge or flatten them to work on just one layer. I was wondering how you keep the colors consistent when you merge and flatten different layer modes. If I merge a multiply, opacity layer etc. down onto a normal layer it changes the color, value, hue or all of the above. Do you have any suggestions?
