Here is the real-time process video of my recent character drawing! ๐ I really enjoyed the process of this drawing because I decided to take it slow instead of trying to finish it all in one sitting, so the process felt more relaxed ๐ I hope you all enjoy watching it!! 2021-07-18 23:03:18 +0000 UTCNot a noob question at all! ๐ I use a multiply layer on top of my sketch to help unify the coloring layers with the sketch. It helps to make the sketch become a part of the overall product rather than looking separate! The colors on the multiply layer can look slightly different than the color you choose, but thatโs why I start with a very light/cream colored background underneath so that they donโt change too much :) If you want your colors to remain true though, a good alternative with the same effect is to set your sketch layer to multiply, and put your coloring layers underneath your sketch! It will look the same except your color layers will be set to Normal so they wonโt change :) I hope that helps!! And good luck! ๐ฅฐ

2021-07-14 12:24:52 +0000 UTCHello ! I have what is I guess is a noob question but why do you use multiply layers on top of the sketch layer, and not normal layers below the sketch layer ? I'm having trouble coloring with multiply layers since it slightly changes the color I choose, so when I'm color picking on the canvas the values aren't the same. Thank you if you have time to answer and love your work as always !
