Mac laptops were not something that I was deeply invested in. I bought an iBook G4 for editing on-the-go in 2004. The unboxing video was so bad that I didn't bother posting it in the YouTube era. I would later acquire a Powerbook 170 and Macintosh Portable when I began my collection, but I never paid much attention to the history. So the 500-series was a release that I didn't know a lot about and was quite fascinating to explore. I especially learned to appreciate the design. I got a little help from Dave "Basement Macs", who knew Mac laptops much better.

Thanks to The Unofficial Apple VHS Archive on YouTube by Peter Brockie, who has had to fight Apple to keep Apple history alive. Also, thanks to Dave "electricitynerd", who gave me some 3-D printed battery blanks to replace the corroded batteries.
