Let’s talk Cosplay!

Cosplay is something that I’ve been doing for nearly 10 years and it truly is something that’s changed me for the better. The reason I started cosplaying was because there were never premade costumes of the characters I loved. There were no Aquaman costumes and there were no cyclops costumes, so what’s a boy to do?
START MAKING HIS OWN!
These days things have really changed and it’s become much easier to get costumes of all your favourite heroes. It’s like being a kid in a candy shop for me. I’m only mentioning this to showcase that the reason I cosplay ISNT for the love of the art. I don’t love making costumes, and I’m not that good at it. The reason I Cosplay is to escape. The reason I Cosplay is to see the final result. The reason I Cosplay is to be the hero I always wanted to be. It’s an incredibly powerful feeling. When I post Cosplay photo and and talk about how amazing it is to see myself as a Hero, I’m not exaggerating.
The reason I’m writing this is because I recently had to make my superman belt in a day (because it’s really weird) and I want to share the BTS/crafting of the belt. I figured I needed to let you all know that the the reason I Cosplay is for the feeling and not for the craft. That’s just a part of it!
The photos are my original cyclops I made for Halloween and my original Aquaman design. This is the only photo of my cyclops and it has like 45 filter and cartoon effects because it was so bad I had to hide it.

It's funny because I've been following you for most of those ten years if not all of them. And I found you because I was searching out Aquaman costumes. Always grateful for making that search and finding you.

I was quite surprised at the bumps, brushmarks, and uneveness of finished items. We love the way you look and pose, and the added effects in the final products. (Oh, and your sweet personality, I guess 🙄). That's we follow you (especially that Cyclops pic 😆). Remember, you ARE a hero to someone, even if they haven't told you yet. EXCELSIOR!
