I was recently in New York for a whirlwind trip to New York and I never got a chance to post about it. I try to keep you all updated in the happenings of my like but that trip felt like it was over in a flash.

I flew in on a Friday and spent the day walking around Central Park which was so nice because it’s never something I have the time to do. I’m actually really glad I got to do that because it started raining shortly after that and it didn’t stop for the rest of the weekend. New York in the rain is a separate beast and getting around becomes significantly more difficult.

That night my friend and I went to see “parade” staring Ben platt and even though is the MOST depressing show, I was so giddy to see Ben platt perform live. That really got me in the mood to see as many shows as I could. Unfortunately the rain forced EVERYONE in the city to look for indoor activities so even though it was pouring the TKTS booth was 3 hours longs. (For those that don’t know, the TKTS booth is where you can get cheap last min broadway tickets).

So with no matinee to go to, we decided to check out the broadway museum which was a great idea. It’s such and amazing place filled with history but just be aware that it is A LOT of reading. I was not expecting to spend 2.5 hours there and I still felt like I was kind of rushed and exhausted. After the museum my friend had to run off to see a show so I met up with some other friends who dragged me to like 5 clubs and kept me up till like 4 am. One highlight of that night was that we went to a place called Harry’s and it’s a bar that is an x-men staple.

The next day my friend and I say Kimberly akimbo which was INCREDIBLE and I got to basically just relax and enjoy New York with one of my fave people. It was a great trip but it was certainly over too soon.
