Black and white!

The first black-and-white day of the month and I almost missed it! Today was supposed to be my day off, but the nursing company that I work for wanted to make a video for national nursing week and I guess since I’m the social media guy I had to spend the entire day recording and editing a video! Alas, I’m here now and I want to share some of my favourite black-and-white photos with you all!

The first series is one from one of my earliest shoots with Shaun! I had never done any nerdy themed shoots at this point and letting my comic book freak flag fly was a huge deal for me. The studio we shot it in was dingy in the coolest way, and I just loved the aesthetic of sitting on this dusty floor reading comic books. I feel like the black and white of these photos really help bring out the emotions.

The second series is, of course, my first super boy series! I knew I wanted to include these shots in black and white because this was one of those shoots that took all day. From the sky being beautifully bright, to the sun setting behing me, to the hiding in a back alley at night, they all look so wonderful. The black-and-white really captures the dynamic of the day and they just make me really happy.
