2024-07-18 10:48:00 +0000 UTCI loooove Itsuki's character, cause he really is a major reason for Sensui's appreciation of demons. I think a huge message of this arc is to show us that humans are as capable of evil as demons are and vice versa. While the lesser demons are driven by rage and killing, demons like Kurama and Hiei prove that they are just as complex as people and that you can't lump them all together. Itsuki's final wish was something so human, something I even wish for myself sometimes (to make it to the final episode of my favorite series). I also like that his romance also represents something that may have been seen as taboo at the time, being that in the series he is also a demon and Sensui a human.
