You go to the Redwood Forest in Step 2 with him and both yours family, Cove does a rest stop here in Step 3, and you can have your wedding party there in the wedding DLC. All you have to do is said, "Hey Cove! What to head to the woods with me...? Not the Redwood but a new one." I'm sure he would jump at it and just be waiting in the car for you. *Giggles.*
