2025 August 23rd - Version 2x updates the UI for Patch 1.117 and adds support for the new Hat Decorations and the already naturally supported Skin Effects. Textures will be added at a later date still but should be soon.
2025 July 4th - Version 2w updates the UI for Patch 1.116. Textures will be added at a later date.
2025 May 31st - Version 2v updates the UI for Patch 1.115 and re-adds the tattoo categories back for those who are unaware of batch fixing CC with Sims4Studio, or were having issues even after batch fixing.
- After testing ourselves and checking the EA forums, we have confirmed the swatch bug (which is a visual bug only) is an EA bug related to any items using sliders. Please make sure to upvote on this forum post to let EA know you are also experiencing this bug so they can fix it.
- Textures have been added to the Google Drive for: Businesses & Hobbies, Sweet Slumber Party Kit, Secret Sanctuary Kit, Casanova Cave Kit, Business Chic Kit, Sweet Allure Kit, and Golder Years Kit.
- Patch files have been updated/added to the Google Drive for the following: Base Game, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Discover University, Fashion Street Kit, For Rent, Get to Work, Grunge Revival Kit, Home Chef Hustle Stuff, Horse Ranch, Jungle Adventure, Life & Death, Lovestruck, Luxury Party Stuff, My Wedding Stories, Outdoor Retreat, Seasons.
Please delete your old patch files from the same categories and download the new ones.2025 February 26th - Version 2u updates the UI for Patch 1.113. Textures will be added at a later date. The compatible version has had a slight name adjustment related to version numbers to make things easier going forward.

How do I install this?
Please read the FAQ for things to be aware of if this is your first time installing the mod.
First, download the correct UI file attached at the bottom of this post. If you use More Columns, download the compatible version, otherwise you must download the regular version. Your game version must match the UI version you download unless an update was not necessary. If you need an older version because you are not on the latest game update, you can grab (a few, we do not have all) previous versions here.
Second, if you use EAβs clothes, hair, etc. you need to download the converted texture .packages, which you can get by clicking the "Download Texture Files" above and downloading from the pack folders you own and the categories you want. If you use CC and no EA items then you do not need to download any textures since it is up to creators to make them slider compatible or not. If a creator has not, then the sliders will not work on the CC, though Sims4Studio features a batcher for hair at least that you can use yourself.
Once in the Google Drive link enter the folders of the packs you own, then select which files you want to download by Ctrl + Left Clicking or Shift + Left Clicking, then right clicking and selecting "Download". Google Drive will then .zip the selected files and download to your computer. Do not download too many files at once! This can cause them to become corrupted. Make sure you also download the matching pack files in the !Patches folder, as these are patches for any changes EA may have made to the textures.
It is recommended that you make a dedicated folder for this mod to keep track of the files.
How do I update?
Whenever this mod requires an update we will tell you which files were updated so you know what to re-download. You do not need to re-download all the textures after every update, this is unnecessary. Normally it is just the UI file that requires deleting the original (never replace) and updating, because UI mods break most patches.
The textures will rarely update, and when they do they are contained in new pack specific patch files that we will mention in the changelog at the top of the post. When we announce these patch files you must go to the !Patches file in the Google Drive and download the ones listed in the post (or based on date, if we were unable to provide a list), and delete any old versions of the patches you just downloaded when installing. If for some reason you did not have any previous patch files already, make sure to download any for the pack textures you already downloaded, regardless of which CAS item you downloaded for (hair, clothes, accessories, etc.).
Patch files either need to be in the same folder as the original base files, in an Overrides folder setup, or in the folder above so that they override properly.
Conflicts:
Any EA CAS overrides that include the textures, More Columns if you don't use the compatible version, KingZace's More Clubs Per Sim, and meat-ice-creammm's Gender-Neutral CAS Thumbnails.

That means it could have been anything (even the game itself), as BE will list every UI mod installed when it can't determine what caused the issue. If you are consistently having this notification, please go to Sims After Dark for general game help as it's not caused by Color Sliders. http://discord.gg/simsafterdark

2023-10-03 19:04:12 +0000 UTCMake sure your game is actually updated to 1.101 (can't use old versions on new patches and vice versa), clear your localthumbcache and avatarcache (tutorial: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/delete-cache-files/), and make sure you don't have old versions installed, and only one version installed. If still having issues refresh your Sims 4 folder, tutorial: https://www.patreon.com/posts/diy-library-part-60354063 Someone else came in with a similar issue and a refresh was the only thing that solved it as it was a game issue.

I downloaded the new UI v2H package for More Columns and I still cannot enter CAS without removing Color Sliders from my mod folder. I don't know if its connect but the regular v2H file is 772 kb when I downloaded for comparison while the More Column version is only 159 kb. Maybe completely unconnected but I redownloaded the file because I thought it looked small and that maybe there was a download error. If this is a case of operator error--my apologies and would appreciate a heads up. Thank you!

2023-09-06 00:22:34 +0000 UTCIt means CAS clothing, etc. overrides that include the original EA textures because the creator edited them, or doesn't know to remove unused files when overriding for mesh issues, etc. Recolor added as swatches are not going to conflict because they are new, but they will not work with the sliders without being manually converted by you or the creator (if they were done by the creator, will say "Color Slider compatible" usually). CAS backgrounds are not a CAS item or UI file, they are an object, so will not conflict. Disablers are usually tuning files so will not conflict.

What about mods that make EA clothes disabled for random so npc's don't get generated with them, will that conflict? It attempts to zip the folder or folders, says it successfully zipped them but does not download. I have never had this problem before so I don't think its my browser, though I will investigate more on my end. Could you confirm that the drive allows downloads on your end?

Either way, Color Sliders UI is not updated yet so it's best to not download the files now, and we will also be releasing a texture file update and overhaul soon after, so you'd be repeating your steps.

2022-06-16 00:49:18 +0000 UTCYou need to download any packs you own whose items you want recolored, and all the patches are required because they are updates to some files and to add new hairs from EA base game updates. Without the patches you will see texture weirdness on some hairs, etc. Make sure to not download in large groups as these can corrupt the files.

2022-04-09 16:29:57 +0000 UTCDid you download the files in large batches? Try smaller batches, as large downloads can be interrupted and become corrupted. Also the base game folder will only enable base game items to be recolorable, other packs must be downloaded to be recolorable if you own them. Make sure you are also not using More Clubs Per Sim as they conflict.
