Perfect Cherry Blossom

Today we're releasing the Big Box versions of the characters from Touhou 7 Perfect Cherry Blossom.

Letty Whiterock manipulates chill. Which 22 years ago didn't sound like it would involve lofi beats to relax or study to. In Danmaku!!, Letty can convert Winter cards into copies of another Action card in her hand. Pretty cool. Her Spell Card, "Cold Snap", says that no one gets to activate a Spell Card this turn. I looked up Mr. Freeze's ice puns for this post, but they're not even bad-good, they're bad-bad.

Chen is a fast character. Using reactions gives her more card advantage. Her Spell Card, "Flight of Idaten", allows her to block many attacks at once or double up those attacks to really hurt some people.

Alice Margatroid, the seven memed puppeteer, was originally able to cycle her Item cards to get some good ones. This turned out to not work very well, as there were few Items in the main deck lategame. The new Alice gets +1/+1 for every non-Powerup she has. Additionally, she may blow them up to block attacks to her person. Ms. Margatroid's Spell Card, Magical Control "Return Inanimateness", is peak Touhouism. Is it returning to inanimateness or returning from inanimateness? I don't know! It helps Alice get Item cards. The average number of Items you get with it is 1.2.

The Prismriver Sisters start off a solo and build into a poltergeist ensemble as they lose life.

This character is made up of the three mob cards for each individual sister. You have three choices for your starting ability, and get new ones when you lose life.

Lunasa - Draw a card when you hit.
Lyrica - Break through someone's defenses.
Lyrica - Gain an extra rangeless attack.

The sisters also draw directly from the Mob deck, allowing them to pick through other bandmates. The sisters synergize with each other, so do your best to get the band back together, even after death.

Konpaku Youmu covers 200 yojana in one slash. That's apparently between 500 and 1800 miles or 800 km to 3000. Youmu has been with Danmaku!! since the beginning, and has only had her wording updated.

Saigyouji Yuyuko wins the award for "most canceled spellcard." This princess of the dead can easily take your life once you're close to death, and her spell card turns her into a living doomsday clock.

Floofiest of the Yakumo family, Yakumo Ran always comes with her little shikigami to mother over. Ran trades having an Ability with doubling down on Spell Cards. "Banquet of Twelve Heavenly Generals" upgrades her shikigami's spell card. When we released her, we expected the first two options will get used 90% of the time, but the third one would be an important 10%. We've often heard that is the case and Ran is unchanged for it.

Nastiest of the Yakumo family, Yakumo Yukari can redirect attacks that miss her to other players. She is also one of the few characters with a form of hand destruction. If she peeps your hand and you don't have anything good for her, she can summon two cards out of her gap instead.
