Traditional Festival of Paradise brings a new version of the Eternal Larva. Eternity Larva once controlled the mob deck, but we decided to reduce dependence on specific decks in Big Box. Now her kit involves “controlling berserk lifeforce” AKA the Incident deck. Her spell, “Crazy Butterfly”, lets her manifest new incidents! We didn’t want her to just spam incidents and make the game tracking overwhelming, so Eternity is also incentivized to resolve incidents.

I hope you like horror, because Sakata Nemuno is here to stalk your Danmaku!! games and scare the hat off you. Slow and powerful is a tried and true trope, and Sakata Nemuno is Danmaku!!’s version of that. All attacks she makes deal 1 extra damage, but you can discard any card to avoid any of them. Her spell card, “Bloody Mountain Murder”, is really fun. You can destroy one player’s Defense, but nothing says you have to keep attacking them. Bait your prey into thinking you’re going to attack a vulnerable target, then turn around and give them a splitting headache. Sakata Nemuno is going to chop you to pieces, and the internet will say you deserved it.

Just when the monster is going to get you, the brave doggo comes to the rescue! Komano Aun is a good girl and a true tank character. Aun counters every time she is hit, and her spell card puts her directly in the path of bullets directed at her allies, prevents all damage, and lets her counter an additional time! Take that Remilia!

With TFoP, we managed to come up with several new teamplay characters. Yatadera Narumi is a Jizou who hands out blessings to her allies and stone cold gazes to her enemies. During other player’s turns, you can collect blessings by defending them, then use “Instant Bodhi” to buff your chosen champion and take down that ice fairy!

Matara Okina is breaking the rules!! This Ultimate, Absolute Secret God has the power of breaking the Spell Card limit. Okina can have up to 4 hidden cards which, let’s be real, everyone is going to call trap cards. The hidden cards are her backdoor into activating “Reverse Invoker” regardless of her Spell Card limit. The Spell Card is slightly weaker than average to make up for you seeing it so much.
