And when they had the audacity, nay gall to try to drag him in this episode and for Louis to sit there laughing at my husband's trauma....I get the point he was making but he ain't have to do all that. Some shit Lestat would do if you ask me. But I was unreasonably upset the first time I saw that lol. Daniel is my fave, again MY HUSBAND and I remember seeing so many reactions where people were put off by him and his defiant temperament, but I was always with it because Daniel doesn't let Louis off the hook, he rattles that hoe AROUND and with good reason. You're not gonna sit up here and lie to me when you pulled me back into this world and universe of fuckery for the second time under, now quite suspicious circumstances. Daniel doesn't suffer the bullshit lightly and I FEEL THAT most deeply. In that way, I think he makes for a very strange parallel to Claudia in how she would see through Louis and Lestat's bullshit too and get the real root of the mess by shaking the table. Hoes don't like when you shake the table. But it needs to be shook!

I feel like I read somewhere that the Emcee was one of his inspirations for the character, but I can't seem to find it anywhere 🥲. Either way, when your reaction plate is less full, you should check him out in The Exorcist television show that he starred in alongside Alfonso Herrera a few years ago. Very terrifying but very well done—the showrunner for IWTV was involved in the production of The Exorcist, which is how he got Ben in the show!

For sure depressing with its looming mental health awareness and what goes unnoticed to the public eye and that being the actual point of the film. I’m glad someone like you (an opinion on film i actually respect!) can appreciate all the artistic elements of the film and how beautiful it was at its over theatrical parts. (also did you know an inspiration for this movie was New York, New York with Judy Garland and Robert Deniro!? I know you love her!!!)

Because I do think that A, some performances made the songs creepier and more sinister (which I liked) or B, it was just a beautiful performance and shit, like when he calls Gaga from prison and sings “if you go away” I thought that was a perfect scene. BUT ITVWAS SO DARK AND DEPRESSING and that’s just not something enjoy watching (at all) so that’s why I’m never watching it again…. That and the fact that the bitch is too fucking long, and you can feel it💀
