And without spoiling things, by the end of the series and the End of Evangelion movie you’ll have some answers and more info about some things, and a whoooole bunch of questions that never get answered 🤣🤣 there’s videos all over YouTube of theories and “ending explained!” and such but a lot of it is left very vague and existential

There is a manga that was technically released first but the anime is the original work and the manga was made to promote the anime, so the answer is no it’s not based on a manga but there is a manga out there 😁 (and since you noted the pronunciation of my screen name it’s Or-O, but my real name is Steven 😁 Aurro was the name of my first Everquest character that I made so it just stuck as my screen name since)
