2025-10-15 00:07:29 +0000 UTCThe Host is such a good character, and great introduction too. Before he played The Host, Andy Hallett was the personal assistant for Whedon's wife, Kai Cole. He was also singing at a local lounge club and that's what got him the role on Angel. Sadly after his time on Angel (however long that was, no spoilers) he became very ill with a blood infection (from an infected tooth) that damaged his heart, and wasn't able to continue pursuing an acting career. He died from heart failure in 2009 at the age of 33.

2025-05-21 16:38:56 +0000 UTCThe show was filmed in LA (same with Buffy). You definitely don't know the host of Caritas from another role. This is one of the only roles that the actor (Andy Hallett) has had.
