2025-08-25 03:50:51 +0000 UTCWhen Dexter was putting his kill stuff in the trunk of his car for Al, you can see a black car down the street, only car parked. While I watched I thought it was gonna cut to Charley sitting in there watching Dexter lol. I haven't really been on the theory of Blessing is the NY Ripper, but this episode made me raise an eyebrow about it at the very least. During the acupuncture scene Blessing's daughter said she was 27 years old. While the timeline on the Ripper stuff is murky, say the killings stopped when she was born, Prater would still have been young during the time period they happened. There's also the continued emphasis on Blessing wanting to keep the darkness he had out of his house. He could have taken that darkness out on the streets on New York. He feels betrayed by Dexter, so if the Ripper suddenly starts killing again it's probably linked. As for the calls, he could have Prater make them with a voice changer, Prater is sick and would love that! All that falls apart when we get to the victims though, because I don't see why Blessing would target women. Maybe someone who resembles the warlord who kidnapped him, that would make sense. But random women? I dunno. The college girl I forget her name, she was crying when they were talking about the detective thing, so I think that was true.
