VIFA Helsinki - some history and A/B comparison of 2015 vs 2019 unit

Thanks for the video! Definitely 2015 sounds better than 2019. Would it be better to buy Oslo than Helsinki2019 for now?

The Vifa plays in a completely other league than the Denon despite some issues. But the Denon is not without issues either. I still love both and think they are the best you can get in their respective sizes.

Oluv, würdest du dann dauerhaft late night einstellen bei dem neueren Modell wenn man eig. ein ios gerät hat? Ich könnte das Feintuning mit einem Equalizer machen.

If someone would use the hardware of the Vifa Helsinki, repack it into a slightly larger and more "manly" and rugged chassi with a larger battery and possibly add a DSP, it would kill the competiton. Now that Vifa has shut down, maybe the rights to use the Helsinki, like Doss did with their SB XL (a rebranded Sony, would be up for sale. Doing all this would probably require the financial muscles of a medium-sized company though so... Well one can always dream.

I think the speaker drivers or at least the passive membranes need to shoot out themselves a bit.... after some time, they should be much more comparable (sound wise).

Ist nicht schlimm brauchst dich nicht dafür zu entschuldigen. Hauptsache ist, das deine Mikrofone nicht versagen und somit die Audioqualität beinflussen können, darum geht es hier ja auch. Das du sowieso eine andere kamera verwenden wirst ist schon gut. Wegen der Marke ist echt schade weil sie es schon drauf hatten so eine gute Audioqualität zu bieten bei dem die anderen nur träumen können oder einfach den meisten leuten es nicht so sehr interessiert wie ein Bluetoothlautsprecher klingen sollte.

ich behalte meinen alten, der hat mich bisher nie enttäuscht.

Ich hatte mir vor ungefähr einem halben Jahr einen neuen Helsinki bestellt, da ich mein ursprüngliches Modell vor gut 2 Jahren verkauft hatte. Auch mein neuer Helsinki klang anders als mein erster, besonders im Bass. Auch war die Akkulaufzeit mies, daher hatte ich ihn dann zurückgeschickt und mir wieder einen Oslo bestellt...
