Ok then, probably the sound sample in the video did a favor of the crappy upper bass sounding much better than in reality 😀 They obviously either overengineered the design (passive radiators cancel out lower bass of the woofer) or completely messed up with the DSP processing. 🤓

My friend also ordered one and got exactly the same crappy sound.

It’s a cliche already, but can’t it be a defective unit? 🙈 I noticed a teardown video of it awhile back on YT, and actually thought to myself it’s a solid designed/built speaker. Also the sound sample in the video (even though captured via crappy microphone) had a good hint of bass, unlike yours. Perhaps before throwing into trashcan, remove the front grill and check if the bass speaker even works and if the cabinet is air tight on the unit 😜 Here’s the link to mentioned video, if you’re interested: https://youtu.be/IJCsizD_21w?t=130

I am thinking around 50% or below volume

and compared to the motion plus?

I still have the 30; needs a bit of EQ adjustment depending on the level you are listening to. 31 and 32 were worse. The 33 is the best so far but still needs adjustment

Hi Oluv Are the other Sony Xb any good like the 30,31,32? I'm on a budget and I can also get them from a second hand dealer.I have injoyed your videos as they aren't about the loudest speaker and moore about the sound that produce .

There is none without issues with the XB33 being too directional and never sounding right without additional Eq adjustment, the Motion+ on the other hand won’t satisfy real audiophiles as it doesn’t have such a smooth response, the Motion Boom has the same bass issues like the Soundcore Boost… There are many decent ones but none really is the one I would choose as single speaker.

Oluv what is the best sub $100 Bluetooth speaker available at the moment in your opinion?

I am waiting for the Xiaomi speaker now which hopefully will be a better performer.

Oluv if you throw it away, i would like to take it over to add to my speaker collection 😂 or you could do some tests how long it survives when you drop it and let it swim whatever. Would be funny
