Earfun Air Pro 2 - user EQ
Added 2021-11-03 10:37:38 +0000 UTCI tried creating a first quick EQ for the Air 2 Pro. After adjustment it sounds quite similar to the Free Pro, maybe even slightly nicer. but there is a catch: like someone had already noticed the EQ is saved within the device but it will always default to the factory preset if put back into the charging box. I haven't found any workaround for this so far and I am not sure this can be fixed somehow. I tried contacting Earfun but it would probably need a custom firmware to deal with this, which I highly doubt they will offer.
The tuning is based on what I am actually hearing, as with the Air Pro 2 get a distinct peak at 5450Hz and my EQ is optimised for this frequency. Deeper insertions will hear the peak higher, thus the whole tuning would need to be adjusted, but as one would need to start the Airoha app every time to switch back to the user EQ, I simply don't think it's worth investing more time into this. Maybe Earfun can offer a solution, as I think with this setting there are few IEMs that cheap which could compete soundwise.
