Earfun UBOOM L vs the rest
Added 2022-06-12 20:31:07 +0000 UTCI had shot several other videos of the UBOOM L recently which I didn’t want to post and avoid creating any further hype until the official announcement by Earfun but post them afterwards bit by bit as there were also some requests by users to compare it to this or that speaker which I wanted to fullfill. Unfortunately with the recent “changes” all those videos would actually become obsolete as the new unit I got actually performs differently which would also require new videos to demonstrate those differences. Therefore I think it’s probably better to post these videos right now before shooting a new video which demonstrates the differences of my original pre-samples to the new final production unit with both my original tuning and then also compare the new unit with optimised frequency response, as this may be interesting to demonstrate how much worse the new unit actually sounded with exactly the same settings of the other unit while optimised I think it performs much better overall. I think this difference could be also easily heard through my recordings which are of course a rougher representation of reality but they should reveal the difference I was hearing quite well. This of course depends a lot on the tracks used as some reveal way more difference than others. I have already prepared something for such a video and will switch between the tunings directly from the PC so you can maybe hear the difference even better in case there is really interests.
