The sex feature
Added 2017-03-10 20:21:17 +0000 UTCI am working in the next beta also(Argh, I should focus in just one thing at time, at least something would get completed sooner).
On the previous design, the sex part would consist in just one animation and that's it. Working on Lima's scene, making the sketchs of the frames and writing the text, I just "came" (HA! A PUN)to realize some things.
The general idea is they get beefed up(the MBS scene) to challenge Shep. After the "mini-duel"(I will show it on the new beta), the game will check the romance meter of that girl. If it's full, it's sex time. If not, it's "see you later" time. By the way, I changed the rules, you can have sex with all the girls in the same playthrough. And you will need to do that get something special.
I could construct the sex scene like the MBS, with phases. Like before penetration, starting slow and the things would get faster and stronger. AND I thought in something else, make the sex scene playable, control the flow of things. We would have an excitation bar and you would have to fill that bar choosing the right dirty talk options. Of course, there is a chance of failure and that would be... awkward. But funny.
The practical part: It would be easier to do that. And it wouldn't be harder than a MBS scene because we'll use the same graphic set through all the phases. But it would require more planning than just a single sequence animation. Instead adding more one feature, I thought in removing the FMG reports form the release version. I didn't get much feedback about the reports, maybe it was a undercooked idea, lots of text, no animations. I would like to hear you all about this before moving on.

Well, I didn't think in that aspect but you are right. A first person view would be very limited since the girls are huge and Shep is too close.

Shep will be somewhat invisible on those scenes, neither his cock will show up. It will be like those retro hentai games, just the girl being fucked by a invisible cock. I know it's weird, but it will look nice in the end.

But it's not like we have to choose one of them, it's more like to know what is really important to the game. The FMG reports were just a side-feature, a post-game reward. But it could be something better, maybe we could merge into the main game, like extending the prologue.

Time from time I make a summary of the things more important to do, time required, and the FMG reports is the last feature I will work on, mainly because they aren't vital for the game. I am thinking in some ways to present that content in a more interesting and engaging format and in this moment I have two versions. I will present them soon.

I guess since they're a feature that's mostly text-based rather than picture or animation-oriented they'd probably be the easiest feature to cut, and the one that would likely be least-missed overall. But this does sound like a cool addition too. If it was a choice between the two, I'm......not really sure which one I'd choose at the moment, to be honest. ;p It might sound a bit crazy, but I'm probably one of the few people who liked that you said you didn't want to make the sex scenes too hardcore, so I guess part of it might depend on if that aspect was going to change too much. Though I guess if you'd be using the same graphic set for all the phases it would mostly be dialogue based that would differentiate them (and I guess also the speed of the animation in each part ;) )? But yes, it does sound like a cool expansion of these scenes, for sure! I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts about it.

Personally, I'd love to see more of the FMG reports, seeing how the girls got to where they are when you first meet them adds a lot to the experience, I think.
