2025-04-01 16:06:34 +0000 UTCOK, this was a ton of fun. The direct lifts from Wells's victorian prose were delivered beautifully, and I laughed my ass off at the harpoon/AMRAAM bit. (In fairness the 120 was brand new and not that common in the 90s, so I had always assumed they were just supposed to be harpoons.)
