Early Hugo Concept Art
Added 2023-07-25 15:37:31 +0000 UTCWhen I was first developing Flux Destiny through the Battlegate webcomic many years ago, I would create little concept pieces to figure out the style and demeanor of the characters.
This is Hugo with an unnamed girl who I thought would be a young witch he met in that universe.
Flux Destiny story/concept/characters and style have changed SO much since that time, this is unrecognizable. Did you know that Hugo used to have earrings too?
I used to draw the art on paper, scan it in, then paint in photoshop in a hybrid method that made a lot of people think (at the time, they're more sophisticated now) that I was doing watercolors or something.
Several years later, the artist on the Sprockets & Spindles mini-comic series recreated this concept art.
None of this art is canonical, it's just old concept work that I wanted to share!
