Hahahaha I'm sorry it took so long for me to look at the sketch of my OC, but in the reference sheet, he is holding a rapier. (a thin, pointy sword) <a href="http://www.preferredarms.com/images/weapons/large/rapiers/12-Fancy-Swept-Hilt-Rapier-.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.preferredarms.com/images/weapons/large/rapiers/12-Fancy-Swept-Hilt-Rapier-.jpg</a> I guess his weapon does look sort of like a staff, but this certainly gave me a laugh.
