I think the whole thing with the tiger is to show how she didnβt realize how much danger (death threats/ Hate) would come with the relationship so in the beginning she felt safe (shown by her being relaxed with the tiger even though tigers are usually seen as dangerous) because she thought she was just starting a relationship with a boy she liked that happened to have a famous ex (bc well they are celebrities so exs will most likely also be famous) but it would actually cause a lot of harm to her mental state/reputation and possibly even her physical safety because of the people who threatened her.
