I think it’s neat is all. for the expressed purpose of him getting lots of attention by soren. im thinking he had this scar before their marriage and Soren simply never commented on it After the initial surprise. But after their relationship blossomed, he became more inquisitive and gave Alex some “extra” care if you know what I mean :)

another way was if it happened during the marriage, from some accident with alexandire’s rather open case of sharp knives. He’s always been a fan of them, so it probably didnt end to well you know? The end result is the same, alexandire gets a lot of extra attention and he has a gnarly but aesthetic scar to go along with. i… just really wanted a character to have this super cool scar (accidentally) and being kissed and given lots love for it.

it also makes him look a lot more badass? Personally, shrugging it off like it’s nothing and simply viewing it as another memory of his young life. I would not have the same response. It totally reminds me of the very brave people giving themselves dick piercings or ones on the vulva anywhere really. A little flavor of character in even the most private of things.
