Added 2022-06-17 01:29:17 +0000 UTCHe’s unfortunately the few who ends up having a bad matchup, his human parts make it harder for his cephy parts to work well. his organs are less efficient, and more picky. Despite having his mouth well equipped to eat all those hard foods, his stomache doesn’t always keep up, making him nauseous. His body may be physically strong, and his personality to boot, but a little surprise can make him vomit or -more fatally- shoot out neurotoxic ink. If you aren’t a cephy, this is a bit dangerous.
hes gotten better after middle school, and has made it his mission to increase his tolerance and manage his sympathetic nervous system. He did such a good job managing and growing stronger that no one was the wiser. Well except for reef, who heard him yelp In the shower, and found out about it in the most embarrassing way.
it burned into Onori’s hall of shame, and reef was sympathetic, as they too, have similar issues. Especially accidental inking. (How he got suspended from school, the first comic that introduced reef)
i wanted to soften onori a Little, giving him a more tender facet of his life. even if hes gotten much better at handling his own body, that doesn’t mean he no longer has the occasional nausea or inking reflexes, just that it doesn’t happen as aggressively.
it also bonds him with his cephy and human friends, since they can relate to his growing pains in their own way.
getting sick, food sensitivities, bodily control issues, and over all hormonal problems. He isnt all powerful and he relies on them to pick up the slack if he ever gets KO’d by his own self.

2022-06-17 19:02:57 +0000 UTCHe be living in hard mode, and accidental inking is double edged, since there’s 2 places where ink is stored, it’s more dangerous when you spit it out… since it’s highly toxic and acidic… though it’s the most common way to respond to shock for cephies, after all- it is a good defensive maneuver. The other place, is just an unfortunate coincidence, since it also responds to adrenaline and fear responses of the sympathetic nervous system. Having like 3 bladders isn’t the easiest for a cephy.
