onori has a complex over his own bodily issues, true in canon, true in this little comic. he's so unsure, that even faced with reef's obvious indifference to it, he's still apprehensive.
to be frank, he worked real hard to avoid this, despite likely getting more and more excited from his intimacy with reef. eventually, he truly wants this, and can't ignore it anymore, insecurity be damned.
well that's how it goes in my head will drawing this. I've realized that I haven't drawn any thought bubbles this whole time... its like I forgot they existed lol. I want to explore his head space, so I'm thinking I should make it happen...well who knows, I'm doing this a page at a time, with only a vague idea on where things will happen and how it ends.

Technically it is a version of how he gets more comfortable with ink, since I did have the intention of drawing his insecurity and later comfort, but it was a side piece to the real thing, nsfw. So end answer, yes and no, Iโll leave it up to interpretation haha
