I'm assuming in a way that all of this and more is likely in the world I'm creating, such as complicated relationship's with human and cephy, from positive or negative development, cultural implications on venom/poison lethality, and even medical, cosmetic applications to cephy specific traits! mouth guard is prefect lmao. since many cephies have specialized ears, they can have all sorts of earrings and piercings that humans can't have, or the fact that they lack any blind spots compared to humans lol. also painting beaks all sorts of colors or maybe even drilling holes (temporary) as a cultural or cosmetic practice. their tails with little bows, or stuff related to their ink. these are all great ideas to work with, and im quite inspired to draw some cool knickknacks from them. maybe even write some stuff about different regions and how they view the venom thing in regards to human/cephy relations! this was a very enjoyable conversation. :)

2022-09-24 18:29:18 +0000 UTCSpeaking of the venom aspect as well as Onoris first crush who presents as human it makes me think of many scenarios such as ° cephys who have evolved with the more aggressive venom and the way it interacts and the role/obstacle it plays in their relationships with humans especially if they are intimately together/life partners/ and other forms of intimate close relationships , maybe even the issues it can cause with their cephy peers whos human components are more dominant so maybe even they are more sensitive to that venom ° and on the other end of the spectrum a cephy with little to no defenses against humans having to live in a hostile human society where they are especially vulnerable to their lack of specialized venom ° Ooo maybe anti cephy propoganda and the like and it's depiction of the cephys and their venom ° and in cases like Onoris first crush , in those societies where there are more hostile human/cephy relations the life of a human presenting cephy and the ways they camouflage/mask. I was more specifically thinking of a scenario where someone like Onoris crush has a child with a human only for that child to present more cephy much like how recessive genes can produce a child with phenotypic gene expressionsthat seem disconnected from their parents or something (whether the cephy parent is aware of their heritage or not can also impact the reaction to such a case) and the consequences of such a child especially if that cephy had been socialized as human and it was not known to their human relations that they were a cephy. ° Also when you mentioned the teeth grinding it made me think of other behaviors cephys might have incorporated into their life that seems to personal quirks or behaviors but have historical implications also the idea of a cephy mouth gaurd 💀 (omg cephy invisalign/ braces ? 😭) maybe like how reef has a pp regimen due to its sensitivity maybe many others with that behavior of grinding have a beak regimen ° oh and last but not least because this has always been another aspect that has always intrigued me irl so translating it into your universe: cephys form of aesthetic/ cosmetic culture and displays of status for example would the culture compromised of cephys with grinding have forms of beak jewelry (?) or maybe cephys poison and it's lethality showcase some sort of authority/ class elevation (maybe in human hostile societies cephys with more poignant venom are regarded with more respect while cephys living in harmony with humans are deemed more trustworthy and what not based on their lack of/less severity of venom and maybe inking for them is less based on survival behavior and has evolved to be a more social (?) phenomenon ? ) °Much like how cultures have their own special/unique forms of body modifications, fashion, jewelry, tattoos, rituals, actions, and so on as a result of their environment and history I would love to see what that looks like in your world!! ° The idea of class/ social stratification when it comes to cephys and especially factoring in their relations to humans is very fun to expand on and dissect even though I am obviously working on with educated guesses and some outside researching haha ^^ Seeing as such a thing can effect every little thing even with something like addictions or what a cephy might be prone to being addicted to!

2022-09-23 21:02:23 +0000 UTCYes the eggs would become fertilized! Irl cephalopods are in deed one hit and they pass away 😔 ( except for nautilus) and I can’t be hurting my made up species here. So I can’t have them die lol from reproduction or even letting them do it once and never again. Onori here is just be laying eggs like a chicken (un-fertilized) till one day there are internally, the eggs would grow inside and naturally a few of them would win or one of them would absorb all the others and a baby would be born. Cephies in general would have limited time/moments to reproduce and it takes a while to try again (just to have a semblance of their irl counterparts)
