these are imps from a whole different place, largely in the main land of the continent. these aptly names "land and mountain" tattoos show a whole different appearance and placement. there's also many many subdivisions, due to the large geographical variety. like lakes, dunes, deserts, oases, forests, grasslands, plains, and many more topological areas that can influence the look, placement, and design of the tattoos these imps have.
these are based from the area of rugged land, near mountains. the first coming of age is done on their lower back, and the second is there lower front. meant to establish their proper sexual maturity and fully established selves. chest tattos are based from major milestones or achievements, largely delineating a history in between, arm and hand tattoos based off of craftsmanship and skill, and so does the legs and feet. those are more for warriors, dancers, and anything footwork related, even being a messenger. these lower body tattoos are highly unique to the individual and have patterns down to what tribe their from. however, there are lower body tattoos kept safe for really important things, like pregnancies and childrearing. those have their own unique sets, and can even appear higher than the belly, even up to the chest.

2023-04-28 12:57:01 +0000 UTCwell i tend to see lots of history and science mixed together. i love learning about the designs of the world, the way they are made and where they are from and what they mean. by my casual information collection i got quite a few things in my little noggin to extract ideas out of. i take bits and pieces of things and formulate something with a unified theme. example tattoos and the imps. they all have tattoos but what they are and what they mean differs based on tribe. they all are one species with subspecies. and what these tattoos look like are based off many human designs of the sea, land and air, the trends they make when trying to simplify and visualize the things they see. like triangles for mountains, square for earth, and ripples of the sea or animal teeth with many triangles together. a circle for the circle of life and the sun and moon. things like that and i just put these things together. of course i want it all but i have to make sacrifices and remove some things so that the culture or the places these imps are from are more grounded into something its own, rather than a nebulous (anything is true) mentality.
