2025-02-24 12:45:15 +0000 UTCSome trivia about Yajirobe. When Toriyama was writing this arc in the manga, the anime had already been airing for a while. When he killed off Krillin, he felt bad since it would put Krillin's voice actress out of a job. So, he created a new character, Yajirobe, specifically so Krillin's voice actress could continue to be employed. Which means in the Japanese version, Krillin and Yajirobe have the same voice, but in the english Dub they don't. Also, Krillin and Yajirobe's voice actress would later go on to provide one of the most iconic voices in anime: Luffy in One Piece. It's entirely possible that, if Toriyama hadn't created Yajirobe, her career would have taken a much different direction and Luffy would sound completely different.
