Checkin In
Added 2019-11-14 18:06:22 +0000 UTCHi yinz! I'll be posting the last part of "Cakes" tomorrow. Before that happens I want to check in and see how you're feeling about This Thing We're Doing so far. Some of my observations follow, feel free to respond in the comments.
I'm probably going to keep posting stories in separate parts and while I don't feel it offers an ideal reading experience, it allows me to post as I edit. But I'm wondering: once I finish a story, should I add an additional post with the entire story? Or is that overkill?
One suggestion I already got from a patron is to offer the stories in an ebook format for easier reading. I think this is a great idea; I'll probably wait until I have at least two or maybe even three stories posted here before I offer them as an ebook.
In addition, I'll most likely/eventually go with the tiered system of membership that a lot of Patreons offer. I'm still working out what I want to offer for those tiers but it will be along these lines: the lowest tier has post-access only, next-highest tier has ebook access, and from there I dunno but here are some ideas I'm kicking around:
1) Audiobooks/podcasts/YouTube clips of me reading my work.
2) Custom stories (I'm always available to write these, just reach out to me), but being that they are so time-consuming I don't know how to offer them on a regular/monthly basis without getting overwhelmed.
3) Access to polls where you can vote on what I write about next.
4) Material goods: I make collages and zines. I would mail them out to folks.
5) Dick/butt pics.
