Clip Studio Practice with Yark the Goblin!
Added 2023-03-05 10:33:14 +0000 UTCI've been interested in trying out other drawing programs for a little while, and I've recently settled on Clip Studio as the one I wanted to try out. Learning a new drawing program is like learning how to write with your left hand - you know what you want to do, but it takes a long time to build up the muscle memory to make it happen. So for the next few weeks I'll be using Clip as my main drawing program for any of my practice art pieces!
For A Very Full House art I'll be using GIMP for the immediate future. I have a consistent, reliable workflow developed for it that I don't want to upset. If I can recreate that style in Clip I'll consider moving over in the future, but that will be months down the road from now.
Today's practice art was a series of sketch variations made while I was getting my brush settings figured out. I also spent a bunch of time getting all of my shortcuts working the way I want them and in general just getting use to the UI. I'm aiming to make my next drawing a fully polished clean lineart+shading drawing to test out everything I intend to do!
