Pete Brownell aside, most of us Iowans are very tolerant of personal expression. As far as trans issues, we think women's sports should be restricted to those who possess ovaries.

As someone who is very concerned about 2A rights in general, but especially for marginalized communities such as transgender people I greatly appreciate you speaking out. I do believe the GOP is moving towards an attack on 2A rights for transgender people as well as any others they can target who are not loyalists to the current administration. At the same time more and more "blue states" are actively trying to ban all semi-auto rifles and have started making similar moves towards semi-auto pistols. (See New Mexico SB 279) Absolute tone-deaf lunacy on their part. This type of advocacy is needed now more than ever.
