Playtest: Updated Dragsonspring & Seasong Player Options (Ancestries, Backgrounds, Subclasses, Feats & More)

Hello everyone!

This post contains two updated playtests: One for Dragonspring, and one for the Seasong Islands. They both follow the ABC method of character creation, in which you choose an Ancestry, a Background and a Class to complete your character.

What's New?

These updated playtest documents include a few big changes.

Improved Culture Glossaries

The culture sections of these documents have been improved to better help players create characters that fit in with -- or rebel against! -- their culture.

Improved Personality Traits

Role-playing inspiration has been added throughout the documents in the form of suggested personality traits, with cultural values in the culture glossaries (includes Ideals, Bonds, Flaws and Habits), flavourful personality traits for each Ancestry, and adventuring motivation in each Background.

Fireworker Martial Archetype

A new subclass has been added to both documents: the fireworker fighter. Learn to craft explosive fireworks and deploy them on the battlefield -- or to create dazzling spectacles!

Path of Stone

The way of the stone first monk subclass has been replaced with the Path of Stone subclass for the barbarian.

Added Ancestries

The Seasong Islands document has two new Ancestries: The giant Kakrab crab-folk and the fish-tailed Merfolk.

Balance Tweaks

Most subclasses have received minor balance adjustments.
