Welcome & Community Guidelines

Hey there! This is Hydrated Baritone, but please, call me Barry.

Thank you so, so much for your interest in my voice, and for your support by visiting me here on Patreon. If you're here, you likely heard my voice on Quinn or on BloomStories, or even on GWA and related subreddits. Thank you again for listening to my content on those platforms.

I'm writing this on July 26th, 2024, the day my first "To My Hydrettes" AMA went live. In that AMA, I mentioned that there would be community guidelines for members here, just as a precaution, but at the time of recording I had not written nor posted those guidelines. I expected growth to be slow and steady at the outset, leaving plenty of time to draft something.

Slow and steady didn't happen. The number of you who subscribed as free and as paid members just today was, frankly, ten times what I expected.

Because of this, I've decided to make this post sooner than later. Again, this is only a precaution.

1.) What to expect from my Patreon:

• My full audio library right here for the purpose of browsing my content across multiple platforms. (The only exceptions being script fills, and audios that would not meet Patreon's content guidelines.)

• Open comments on my Posts - I encourage feedback from you, as long as it is clean and respectful to me, to yourself, and to other Members.

• Weekly updates for Free and Paid Members

• 2x Patreon-exclusive audios monthly for $5 Hydrette Members

• A weekly AMA for Hydrette Members (NSFW)

• Additional Patreon-exclusive content for more expensive tiers, when those tiers are released (TBD)

• Over time, both paid Member tiers will become more valuable as I add content to them.
  

2. ) What to expect from me as a performer and creator:

• I will treat each and every one of you with respect in all interactions here. This means sometimes erring on the side of keeping my words SFW in posts and comments, or even saying nothing.

• I will deliver the content I have promised on time, and to the best quality I can provide.

• I will post here to let you know if, for any reason I cannot deliver content for some time or my production schedule is interrupted or delayed.

• I will provide a way for you to leave anonymous feedback on my content, if you do not wish to comment.

• I will listen, genuinely, to constructive feedback, suggestions, and ideas you have about how I can improve as a VA and a creator.

• I will not DM you nor respond to DMs here.

• I will not respond to every comment, or even most comments.

• I will not send you pictures or videos of myself.

• I will not send you personalized audios. (Excluding commissions, if/when those go live.)
  

3.) What I expect from you in your interactions here:

• Keep it in perspective - In my audios, I am playing a character, not my real self, and I expect you to understand the difference. Comments that conflate me with my characters, or attribute my characters' actions to me, will be deleted.

• Keep it classy - Comments that are overly profane or attempt to initiate any kind of roleplay will be ignored.

• Keep it hydrated - Comments that are over-the-top "thirsty" in an effort to get my attention will be ignored.

• Keep it respectful - Comments that are meant to start or continue any sort of conflict between Members will be deleted.

  • This includes instances where another Member has overstepped. It is my responsibility to correct oversteps, not the responsibility of other Members.

  • This also applies when the target of that conflict is outside of this Patreon. We are not here to trash-talk anyone.

• Keep it to yourself - Comments that bring in outside drama, read like a blog post, or contain any form PII (personally identifiable information) will be deleted.

• Keep it in mind - I am one man doing this as a side-hustle. If I have to spend my time being a community manager here, that's less time I have to work on producing audios. Therefore, I will be quick to ban anyone who becomes a repeat offender, or anyone who I believe to be acting in bad faith, because I simply don't have the time to pursue moderate solutions.
  

I will add and change these guidelines as needed, should other rules become necessary. I will also include the date in the post, and notify you when changes to this post are made.

I would not be putting forth these guidelines if I didn't believe each and every one of you were capable of following them. As I've frequently mentioned, I firmly believe that I have the best, highest-quality audience. 99.9% of my interactions with you thus far have been respectful, civil, and downright wholesome. I expect the same here.
