Basically, Hograd doesn't show up himself, but he messes things up for Kealyna, leading to her reincarnation as a spider.
Elysa tells Kealyna of this in her message but notes that she can't be certain it's him.
Hograd is still a bad guy, but this solves the ridiculousness that is currently chapter 1.1 and still leaves open options of revenge.

Unfortunately, I've injured my left index finger which makes typing significantly harder now that it's bandaged up. I'm not quite sure how much I can currently write, but I'll try.
