――There was a shadow running deep underground where monsters were clamoring.

The shadow wasn’t stopped by anything or even being noticed as it advanced through the darkness.

The shadow whispered inside that solitude.

The shadow sported a joyful smile that came from the bottom of their  heart. And then it kept advancing even deeper into the darkness without  hesitation.

They were burning with the dark flame that was lit inside their chest the whole time.

Hello, long time no see, this is Dragon Tanishi aka Akagi Hirotaka.

What do you think about Incubus Banishment volume two?

At the first edition I always asked things like 「Can you follow this  idea?」. The catchphrase make it sounds as though normally you can’t keep  up with the idea. I wonder why. Even though the main character is only  fighting with his penis a little…….

And so this is the second volume, but actually my spontaneity when  writing from around her has increased compared to volume 1. Some of the  developments that I thought of came from improvisation based on the  reaction of the readers too.

The greatest example of that is Carry Penipeni-chan.

Originally this girl was a character that I made with a mood of 「I  got an idea for a character with this kind of name」 just for a single  appearance. And so actually her turn should have ended with just  「Getting released from the job of transporting penis」 but, for some  reason she got really popular. Because of that too her appearance  increased for various things, like carrying the main characters to the  dungeon city. It will be a spoiler for readers who only read the LN but,  she will make unexpected contribution at volume 3 too and I myself as  the author quite enjoyed her existence.

A certain famous mangaka left behind the words 「Serialization is  Wonderland」, but after I myself actually try writing a story in  serialization format, I’m shocked that there’re really a lot of  Wonderland things.

Incubus Banishment was my first time writing novel in serialization  format, and it often made me thought that it’s really different from  writing on commission.

The biggest difference is how the readers’ reaction came not every  single volume, but for every single chapter. There are the comments, or  the view number.

And so sometimes I needed to revise the story midway and it was  easier for unexpected idea to come out. Writing was extremely fun when I  could update the story chapter by chapter.

Well, so what I want to say is that whether it’s the serialization  version at Kakuyomu or the publicized version, I’m really thankful for  all the comments!

Thanks for everyone’s support Incubus Banishment volume 1 also got  reprinted and comicalization. The good things just kept coming that I  could feel the support for real once more.

Because of that too I want to keep pushing fast with the WN too at  the same time with the LN’s publication but……currently I’m getting a  little, or rather very ill so it’s hard for me to update the WN.

But, I’m creating the general framework while also writing when  possible so, I hope that the WN readers can patiently wait for the  update.

Then now, for thanks.

I’ve been saying this every time but, I’m greatly indebted to  everyone who is involved in the publication of this work that is just a  step (?) away from being R-18. It’s thanks to everyone that I can make  this work into something that is just barely for all ages.

Next is kakao-sama who continued to draw wonderful illustrations  since volume 1. There is Sister Claire and Stacy in this volume, I can’t  thank you enough for drawing them with loveliness that far surpassed my  imagination (There is also the subtly idiot girl Penipeni!). The  wonderful illustrations make me want to finish writing volume 3 and the  rest quickly! My motivation is bursting. I’m really really thankful to  you.

The WN update will depend on my condition but, the favorable  reception there will at the very least make me want to continue  delivering the LN version as quickly as possible……! I also want to see  the lewd illustrations more!

And so I hope I’ll be able to meet everyone again in my next works, especially with Incubus Banishment.
