Chapter 15: The Stomachache From Introducing Girlfriend to Parent is Worse Than Meeting the Girlfriend’s Father

My nostalgic home.

The orc village has the placidness that is unique to rural area, or  putting it another way it lacked vigilance. There is no culture of  putting lock and key here.

……Well, there isn’t any suicidal thief who will try to do anything to my family house though.

There is no idiot who will pick a fight with both the demon king and hero.

Words naturally slipped out from my mouth the moment I stepped inside.

「「Home sweet home.」」

Marle’s voice overlapped with mine.

「What’s the matter?」

「Somehow, Marle thought that.」

Is it because she had absorbed my flesh and soul?

That thought of me is immediately cut off.

There is someone’s presence here.

That presence is rapidly closing in.

「My my my, welcome home, Ork-chan.」

There is someone who shouldn’t be here.

It’s Kaa-san who should be out in her lovey dovey trip.

She is a calm looking beauty with soft brown hair. Even though her  age should be over thirty already, she looked like she can still pass  herself as a teenage just barely.

She is like a mother character who came out in eroge.

I’m glad I don’t have any interest in that direction. The eroge of  the recent times have misplaced their moral somewhere else and even if  it’s with the biological mother they didn’t give a damn…….

「Shouldn’t Kaa-san out in a trip?」

「That person is seriously injured, so we cut short the trip and went home.」

「Tou-san is injured, no that’s impossible. To begin with, with  Tou-san’s regeneration ability, he should have healed from any injury  right away.」

Evol Orc is a race that evolved by absorbing the strong point of various races.

Unlike me who got that trait sealed in order to stop my blood from  going wild, Tou-san can freely use all the strong points of the races  that his blood had absorbed.

Regeneration is a mainstream ability. Tou-san has ten or twenty of  that type of ability and he can use them in stacks with each other. He  can even regenerate his arms even if it got cut off.

In fact I myself had done that feat when I was in an unsealed state.

「That’s how it would be if it’s a normal injury……in the past I cut off both his hands, but they both grew back in seconds.」

It must be a story from when they fought each other as demon king and hero, not husband and wife quarrel.

「……It’s amazing that Kaa-san could do by simply being the hero.」

I only understood now that I have become strong. Tou-san is a monster.

I can’t imagine how a mere hero was able to rival such monster.

「Ork-chan, you’re underestimating hero’s power too much. You should  go train it properly somewhere at least once. You are able to use cheat  like twin spirit crests and Evol Orc’s power, so you’re completely  making light of hero’s power.」

「I’m using the hero’s power properly though.」

「You’re using it but not very well at all. Fuu, this is my fault.  There is nobody else than me who can teach you the way to use the hero’s  power, and yet I had my hand full just teaching you swordsmanship  before this……well, let’s put that aside.」

「You’re putting it aside after saying that much!?」

I’m getting really curious here you know? Don’t tell me, the spirit  crest has other use than borrowing the power of the spirits!?

What’s more, the human Kaa-san was able to rival Tou-san by having  just that spirit crest. If it’s really hiding that kind of secret, then  it will lead to me being able to power up drastically.

「Well, let’s not rush it. More importantly, who are the cute girls behind you?」

Kaa-san’s eyes glinted.

Her eyes looked the same with the past when she forcefully tried to dress me in female outfit.

「Umm, err, nice to meet you, I’m Ork’s wife Tita.」

「Err, I’m also Ork-san’s wife Kururu-!」

The voices of the two are trembling in nervousness.

Their nervousness is completely different than when they were greeting the orc trio before this.

「My my my, what lovely girls we have here! You two, call me Okaa-san(mother-in-law) okay?」

It’s terrifying how her smile that is pure and innocent like a girl (actual age is over thirty) really suited her.

「And the other girl is……Ork-chan, don’t tell me, you, even a girl  this small. No way, even though I told you that you mustn’t lay your  hand on children no matter what, to think that Ork-chan has become that  kind of scum」

She broke down crying theatrically.

「That’s not it, Marle is Otou-san’s daughter.」

「You already have a daughter this big!? Who is your mother?」

Marle tilted her head, after that she pointed her finger……to Kaa-san.

Tita and Kururu’s faces are dyed in surprise.

「Thinking back, she is really similar with Okaa-san.」(Tita)

「O-Ork-san, don’t tell me, no way, that’s, as expected it’s, just disgusting.」

「No way, could it be that, without me knowing Ork-chan has……」

「Tita and Kururu already heard the great sage’s story before this!  Also Kaa-san, as expected it hurt if you are doubting me like that!」

Is she thinking that I have ever stuck my pen*s into her!? As expected I’m unable to look at Kaa-san in that way.

「……But, now that you mention it. It feels like Marle is more similar to Kaa-san rather than me.」

Rather it felt like some puzzle pieces are falling into places.

For example is Rurine and Marle’s sparring.

At that time, the swordsmanship that Marle wielded wasn’t the one I  learned from Kaa-san that had been optimized for my body build, joint  range, muscle strength, mana, and ki’s property, but Kaa-san’s sword  technique itself.

Calling it as Kaa-san’s copy rather than my copy is more fitting.

Also, perhaps I don’t get excited from Marle might also because I’m a  mister orc who said no thank you to blood related mother and little  sister.

I gave a simple explanation about Marle to Kaa-san.

Kaa-san said that and moved her hand to pat Marle, but Marle went to hid behind me.

「Somehow, Marle don’t wanna.」

I’m surprised. This is the first time I saw Marle acting shy to stranger.

Even though she got that attached to Tita and Kururu and Rurine.

Kaa-san should be a type of person who got easily liked by others.

Looking at Marle’s reaction, it seemed to be more of an instinctual reaction rather than emotional.

In that moment, it felt like all of the puzzle pieces got connected to each other.

I don’t have concrete evidence but, Marle’s true identity. I have  largely guessed why the great sage Merlin Enlight made her like this.

「Now, don’t say that. She isn’t a bad person.」

「Look, I have delicious sweets here.」

Wrapped baked sweets appeared from Kaa-san’s pocket. It seemed to be a cookie that gave off sweet smell of pumpkin.

「Marle’ll eat!」

I got uneasy seeing my daughter got won over in second like that.

Let’s teach her later that she mustn’t accept sweets from stranger.

Tita and Kururu moved to Kaa-san’s room while I moved to the underground room.

I didn’t notice when I was little, but my home is drawing the  overflowing mana from the leyline that is put into use as barrier. In a  sense this house is a shrine or perhaps a magician’s workshop.

Although Tou-san has that kind of appearance, as an Evol Orc he is  also a magician. It’s not strange for him to improve his own home like  this.

After all the demon king and the hero are living here. The demon king  and the hero are symbols of idolization, while at the same time they  are also symbols of fear. They needed quite the protection for  themselves.

Also, a shrine has various uses.

For example, healing wound, etc.

In fact, he is resting his body on a detailed and beautiful magic  circle that is converting the leyline’s mana into the power of healing  and purification.

「It’s unusual that Tou-san is in that form.」

However, this isn’t his true form. The orc form and the human form,  both of them are equally father’s true essence. He is simply using them  depending on the situation.

In his orc form, his physical ability and mana jumped up, but it has  the flaw of decreasing the precision of his magic remarkably.

「They got you good. Just what did Tou-san fight that you got injury that even you can’t heal like this?」

Tou-san has no right arm and his left leg from the knee below is  gone. There are also many other wounds that are deeply carved into his  body, and all the wounds are being violated by muddy black miasma. In  that state, the regeneration abilities of any species or healing magic  won’t work.

It’s to a degree that it’s a mystery that Tou-san is still alive.

Tou-san returned to this place, the shrine that he himself created must be in order to remove this miasma.

As for the system based demon king, I guessed that they are just like  the hero who is granted with special power in the form of the spirit  crest, this demon king is someone who is granted power by a higher  existence.

「If they are given power by a higher existence just like the hero,  then who in the world they are and what is the purpose of giving them  power?」

「I don’t know the answer to that. But, I can only say that this demon  king really do exist. ……The demon king is strong. Absurdly so. It’s  only natural, after all we, Evol Orc, Nightmare, Evol Slime, High Elf,  and also the golden flame fox, all of us special races in addition of  the hero system were all created to serve as deterrence to this. This is  an opponent that rivaled all of those special existences put together,  so it’s only natural for their strength to be in such height.」

The deterrence that protected the world.

The powers that are intentionally placed by the spirit kings. Their  purpose are for the sake of stopping the world’s destruction.

Putting it another way, this existence is so dangerous that the  spirit king who is pursuing the stability of the world is forced is  forced to scatter extraordinary powers all over the place even though  they could become cause of conflict.

「Did Tou-san manage to defeat that demon king?」

「No, I didn’t defeat him, but I made him got diarrhea.」

「Haa?」

Tou-san laughed.

He smiled warmly and strongly, which is directed toward me.

「……It was for you. It’s only sometimes but, I can see the future. I  saw a dream of Ork getting killed. That’s why, Mireille and I struggled  to change the future. It would be better if we could win though. As  expected from the calamity that will destroy the world. We couldn’t win  even after borrowing the great sage’s help. Sorry.」

……So the great sage Merlin Enlight said that he was busy because he was also accompanying Tou-san and Kaa-san huh.

He should just say that to me if that was the case.

「Thank you.」

「I haven’t done anything for you to thank me.」

「No, the fate has changed thanks to Tou-san fighting. The demon king is weakened and I now have the time to heal my body.」

That fairy said 「Complete checkmate where even miracle of one in a  million of chance doesn’t exist」. Perhaps Tou-san had also seen that  future.

I was given the power to make that one in a million chance to happen  from the fairy. But, I was also thinking that it won’t be enough with  just that.

「……This is as far as I can go to help you. Do something about the rest by yourself somehow.」

「Of course. That’s why, tell me the information about this demon king as much as Tou-san know.」

「Your father isn’t only injured, he is about to die here, and yet you’re so unreserved huh.」

「Even though you absolutely would scold me if I’m actually acting reserved.」

「Exactly. It looks like that it was the correct choice to entrust Ork to them.」

Tou-san said that and roughly ruffled my hair. And then Tou-san told me about the demon king of the system that he fought.

Information is power.

And then, when fighting the full powered Tou-san who is the strongest  creature in the world, surely the demon king wasn’t able to do  something like holding back.

That’s exactly why I’m able to learn about almost all of his cards here.

(I see, I won’t be able to win against that.)

If I encountered that guy before he fought against Tou-san, I wouldn’t be able to do anything.

I had no chance of victory even if I used all the cards in my hand,  including the taboo among taboos, the Last Limit Release. There is no  way Tou-san can lose if I can win by using that.

But, with the cheat that was given to me from the fairy and the  information from Tou-san, I have one in a hundred million chances to  win.

In that case…….

「Now how much I can increase this one in a hundred million chances to win.」

I hated gamble with low odd.

If I can’t win with the cards that I have in hand, I’ll increase my cards until I can win.
