Detail of changes:
1. Rope-Origin:
Have made installer more robust - HTML file will always be found now

2. Wan2.1 Model Manager:
Error in the Full Install Package has been fixed: now downloads correctly
Removed use of conda virtual environment: now requires venv comfyui

3. Reverted ComfyUI manual install back to Python Virtual environment (venv)
Deleted old 12.6 manual install
Uploaded new 12.6 manual install;

Removed conda virtual environment
        Reinstated python virtual environment
Removed venv->comfyui script
Acceleration (sageAttention, Triton) now requires correct python to be installed on system (Python 3.10)

No you need to keep miniconda installed.. what you need to do is go into your environmental variables and move python 310 to the very top

Gary

Thanks, my python 3.12.9 appears to be in miniconda, should i remove miniconda from Windows then install 3.10.11 ?

Roger

Thank you sir! I really appreciate all the work you do. Just wish I had found your channel sooner!

Apologies, I must be blind. Where is the comfyui manual installer?

LiecesterBrief

hi roger.. i would reinstall if you used the manual installer -it will make your life easier in the long run. (Copy your models folder so you dont have to download it again.. and then paste it back when finished.) If you want to use Sage Attention acceleration, then yes, you need Python 3.10 Regarding Python 3.12.9 - you should not have that instaleld on your system regardless. That version is not compativle with 90% of the AI softwarte we use. SOOOO .. my advice is: remove 3.12.9.. install 3.10.11 .. then delete the comfyUI installation folder you have (after backing up your downloaded models).. go back tot he manual installation folder and download the new download installer. It will do everything for you

Gary

Hi, I installed the manual comfyui on March 8th, 2025, do I need to re-install? I'm on python 3.12.9 and you said it needs to be 3.10 is 3.12.9 ok? Where are the URLs to the changes 1) to 3) please? Thanks

Roger

Thanks!

Jarrao Claudio

I'm not sure what causes this but I had another member have a similar issue. It basically means you didn't get clone it. You need to just reinstall. Go get the free comfy installation from this page and start from the beginning.. . Delete this installation then start from the beginning

Gary

i did everything but now i can't update comfyui through Manager, can you help me? says### ComfyUI Revision: UNKNOWN (The currently installed ComfyUI is not a Git repository)

Jarrao Claudio

It takes a big person to admit when they made a mistake. You have my respect even more. Thank you. (SimpleTechAI)
