Time Snare - Chapter 1 & 2

A new story, based entirely around time manipulation. The main character is Karter, your run of the mill hormonal teen struggling to get through college. He's on a straight course to fail the class, but during an expedition with his professor, he finds something that could give him an edge over the ticking clock counting down to graduation.
That's the main gist here. A magical time crystal gets fused with the college's video editing software called S-G Plus. It makes what should be a basic editor, something that can adjust the past and the future to better suit the user's needs.
Unfortunately, only a portion of the time crystal fused with S-G Plus. So it's somewhat limited. Time can only be stopped for thirty seconds at a... Well at a time. With an hour recharge in between. And adjusting the past and future comes with its own setbacks.
I've always liked the appeal of time control stories, but they can get stale fast if there isn't an element to spice shit up. This is my attempt at giving it a go, I wanted something that isn't, ''Man gets time stop powers and fucks everyone in sight with it."
So I'd like to see how people think about what I did with it.
Also, I believe this is the first main story to reference another story in the Doggyverse. If you don't know what that is, it's basically that all my stories are set in the same universe and thus have the possibility of referencing, interacting, and sharing characters between them.
