Yeah I had to put 1 year + 3 = 4 is equal to service in military to reach captain rank and everyone requested me to do captain. In video games and movies it's the only recognizable rank hahah but yeah at the same time I think the longer Jk serves, the longer Tae is away from him the more they are both mature and the more their love is tested by fate. Actually the plot is already written so I can't change the storyline, yet I try my best not to disappoint the readers <3
